Case Background
Air Guard installed its self-developed integrated fragrance combination (antibacterial, antiviral, high-efficiency, low-resistance) air purification filter for the central air conditioning return air vents at the Wangniudun Sub-branch of Dongguan Rural Commercial Bank. The introduction of this innovative product aims to address poor indoor air quality in the bank’s business hall, particularly considering the space’s relatively enclosed, densely populated, and high-traffic characteristics.
Air Quality Challenges Faced by the Bank
As a public space with frequent foot traffic, the bank’s business hall faces not only conventional air pollution issues such as PM2.5 and VOC (volatile organic compounds) gaseous pollutants but also special contamination from bacteria carried by banknotes. On average, each one-yuan RMB note carries up to 1.18 million bacteria, which suspend and accumulate in the air, leading to a rise in harmful microbial concentration and increasing the risk of epidemic diseases spreading through the air. Prolonged exposure to such an environment may damage the respiratory and cardiovascular health of staff and customers.
Solution Introduction
To address the above issues, Air Guard proposed a solution: equipping the central air conditioning system in public places with an “N95 mask.” Specifically, this involves installing air filters at the return air vents of the central air conditioning system to intercept PM2.5, VOC gaseous pollutants, and harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and mold. This reduces the concentration of harmful substances in indoor air, minimizes human inhalation of toxic materials, and thereby lowers the risk of disease transmission through the air, protecting public respiratory health. Air Guard’s air purification filters for commercial buildings feature:
High-efficiency Filtration: Achieves multi-stage filtration through the special structure of filter media, with an effective filtration area 2.5 to 3 times that of ordinary filters. Tested according to GB/T 18801 standards, the filtration efficiency reaches 99% after 60 minutes of cyclic filtration.
