Phoenix News Reports: Professor Liu Kaihui from Peking University Visits Air Guard Purification Technology Group with Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory Team for Exchange

Recently, Professor Liu Kaihui, the head of the team from Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, a professor at Peking University, the director of the Institute of Condensed Matter Physics, and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, led his team to visit and exchange with Air Guard Purification Technology Group (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as AGF). Zhang Wu, the chairman of Air Guard Group, led his team to warmly receive Professor Liu Kaihui and his team. Both sides had in-depth discussions on the industrial application of new filter materials in the field of air purification. This exchange not only represents a deep integration of science and technology with industry but also marks a crucial step forward for both parties in the direction of integrated innovation in “industry-university-research-application”.

During the special topic discussion session, the technical teams from both sides delved into cutting-edge topics such as “Research and Development of High-Efficiency and Low-Resistance Filtration Materials”, “Air Quality Management in Intelligent Automotive Cockpits”, and “Industrial Grade Purification System Solutions”. The team from Songshan Lake Laboratory presented breakthrough research results on new high-efficiency and low-resistance air filtration materials, while AGF shared industrial application data accumulated in scenarios such as automotive cockpits, rail transit, and industrial environments. Particularly in the field of anti-bacterial and anti-viral research and development, both sides reached an important consensus on high-efficiency and low-resistance electrostatic adsorption filtration technology.

“This exchange not only bridges the key link between the basic research of new materials at Songshan Lake Laboratory and the transformation into the air purification filtration industry, but also builds a cross-disciplinary collaborative innovation mechanism,” said Professor Liu Kaihui. The new functional materials developed by the laboratory and AGF’s deep accumulation in engineering application form a complementary advantage, which is expected to bring about breakthrough technological achievements in the field of air purification.

Chairman Zhang Wu stated: “AGF will continue to increase its investment in scientific research and R&D, accelerate the development of new productive forces, adhere to the strategy of driving enterprise development through technological innovation, and focus on breakthroughs in green and low-carbon filtration product technologies and solutions. It is expected that multiple technological achievements will be transformed by 2025.”

Forging the steel backbone of advanced manufacturing and stimulating the surging power of scientific and technological innovation. This exchange between the two sides comes shortly after the “First Meeting of the Year” in Guangdong Province – the Guangdong High-Quality Development Conference. It is a crucial period when Guangdong Province is fully focused on the construction of a modern industrial system. It is hoped that both sides will deepen cooperation, follow the trends of intelligence, greenness, and integration, promote mutual reinforcement and strengthening of industrial and technological development, and contribute to the high-quality development of Guangdong Province.

Introduction to the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory:

The Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory is located in Dongguan, an important node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It was initiated on December 22, 2017, and completed its registration in April 2018. It is one of the first batch of provincial laboratories in Guangdong Province. It is composed of four core sections: frontier scientific research, public technology platforms and large-scale scientific facilities, innovation sample factories, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cross-Science Center. It explores and forms a full-chain innovation model of “frontier basic research → applied basic research → industrial technology research → industrial transformation”, and is positioned to become a southern base for new materials research with international influence, an important part of national material science research, and a new window for cross-border openness in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region.
